this is Latin America

Latin America, surrounded by 3 oceans and 14 seas, is a region that holds an exuberant variety of marine ecosystems, due to the vast extension of its coasts and the diversity of its climate and temperature — from tropical heat to the icy southern waters.
Considering that around 60% of the world’s terrestrial, marine, and freshwater life is found in this region (UNEP Statistics, 2020), the potential of Latin America’s marine resources is enormous. It includes marine flora and fauna from tropical and Antarctic seas, from the Atlantic coasts in the east to the Pacific coasts in the west, extending all the way to the South Pole.
Our seas, teeming with life, will continue to be the natural route welcoming successive caravans of ships — diverse in type and size — that keep international logistics traffic alive and, in their eternal wandering through the planet’s oceans, share not only the products of our brown-skinned America, but also our culture and our most beautiful dreams.
STRATEGIC PARTNERS
The MAMLa Network has 19 Member States represented by the Maritime Authorities of each country.
Additionally, the Network strengthens its work by collaborating with other organizations, both public and private. Although these organizations are not formally associated with the Network, they work with our membership as Strategic Partners to promote common initiatives. This diversity of allies broadens our regional impact and enriches our collaborative efforts.
We invite you to learn about the entities linked to our organization that promote and raise awareness of the role of women in the maritime sector in the region through their respective areas of expertise.
