FIRST LIEUTENANT CATHERINE GONZÁLEZ PIZARRO HONORED ON NATIONAL DAY OF THE CANTINERAS

In commemoration of National Day of the Cantineras, an event that recognizes the women who supported Chilean troops during the War of the Pacific, more than forty female public servants were honored for continuing that legacy of courage and commitment.

Among them was First Lieutenant Catherine González Pizarro, a member of Red MamLa, who was recognized for her professionalism, leadership, and contribution to strengthening the role of women in the field of defense. Her work reflects the spirit of the historic cantineras, women who assisted the troops with dedication, courage, and unconditional service.

The recognition of Lieutenant González highlights her institutional commitment and the continuity of the legacy of those pioneers who marked the history of the Chilean Armed Forces.
