With a clear message of equality, leadership, and transformation, the Marriott Hotel in Santa Marta hosted the Third Meeting of Women in the Maritime Sector from the Public and Private Sectors, celebrating the strength, leadership, and determination of those who bravely navigate the maritime industry.

The General Maritime Directorate (DIMAR), Red MAMLa, and WISTA Colombia led this event, together with partner entities such as SENA, Petrobras, MedTug, ColTug, SAAM Towage, the Colombian Maritime Chamber, and the Port Society of Santa Marta. Since 2023, this event has promoted dialogue on gender equality, harassment prevention, and strengthening female leadership in the maritime sector.

During the event, women from public entities and private companies shared experiences, challenges, and proposals to close gender gaps and build more equitable and inclusive work environments. The meeting has become an annual platform for recognition, training, and collaboration, promoting the participation and leadership of women in the Colombian maritime industry.

Red MAMLa also participated in the meeting, strengthening the network of women leaders in the maritime sector in Latin America and creating a space for regional collaboration to promote gender equality and female empowerment in the industry.
