The aquatic spaces of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela have high geopolitical, geostrategic, and geoeconomic potential due to their excellent geographical location, offering favorable conditions for the development of the maritime sector.
It has a maritime coastline extending a total of 5,500 linear kilometers, of which 3,750 km correspond to the Caribbean coast and 1,750 km to the Atlantic coast. The country possesses significant port infrastructure, including ten (10) public ports, twelve (12) river ports, seventy-two (72) facilities in the naval industry, and four hundred and twenty (420) smaller port facilities, maritime terminals, and operational recreational, fishing, and artisanal ports along its coasts, enabling free trade.
Given the wide range of services offered to maritime users, we can state that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela provides ideal conditions to sustain international maritime trade.
