On September 11, as part of the XLVIII Meeting of Central American Port Authorities (REPICA 2026), the Network of Women of Latin American Maritime Authorities (Red MAMLa) participated in technical visits to Haina International Terminals (HIT), Sans Souci Ports, and DP World Dominican Republic. The visits provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into their operations and infrastructure, as well as their approaches to connectivity, sustainability, technology, and port development.

The technical visit was a valuable opportunity to strengthen regional cooperation, exchange experiences, and build connections among women leaders in the maritime and port sector across Latin America.

This technical visit brought to a close an intense and enriching week of technical exchange, networking, and strategic collaboration, generating valuable learning opportunities, sharing perspectives, and strengthening the connections that contribute to the development of the region’s maritime and port industry, particularly on its path toward increasingly sustainable, integrated, and resilient operations.
