WITH AN EMOTIONAL GATHERING, HONDURAS CELEBRATES THE INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR WOMEN IN MARITIME

As part of the commemoration of the International Day for Women in Maritime, the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine (DGMM) of Honduras, a Member State of the Latin American Network of Women in Maritime Authorities (Red MAMLa), held a meaningful luncheon on May 18 in honor of the women employees of this Maritime Authority.

The event served as a space for recognition, unity, and gratitude toward all the professional women who, from their respective areas of work, contribute with commitment, leadership, and dedication to the institutional strengthening and development of the Honduran maritime sector.

From the Red MAMLa, we celebrate these initiatives that highlight the fundamental role of women in the maritime industry and promote greater female participation in decision-making spaces, in line with the goals of equity and inclusion promoted by the IMO.
