As part of this commemoration, the President of Red MAMLa, Magdalena Santos Polanco, took part in a publication released by the specialized digital outlet Info-Transportes, where the organization’s strategic role in promoting female leadership in the region was highlighted.
The article underscores the work carried out by Red MAMLa as a regional platform focused on strengthening women’s participation in the maritime, port, and logistics sectors.
During her remarks, the President emphasized the importance of consolidating spaces for cooperation among women leaders, as well as the need to continue promoting initiatives that foster gender equality and inclusion in the industry.
It was also highlighted that Red MAMLa is part of the efforts promoted by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to strengthen female participation in the sector, aligning with global initiatives aimed at reducing gender gaps in traditionally male-dominated industries.
The publication also recognizes the network’s growth and regional positioning, highlighting its presence in multiple Latin American countries and its focus on training, mentorship, and the visibility of female talent.
