WORLD AIDS TO NAVIGATION DAY 2022, FROM CHILE TO IBEROAMERICA

In 2018, during the development of the 13th IALA General Assembly, it was decided to establish July 1 of each year as World Aids to Navigation Day.

The main objective is to promote greater awareness of IALA and its work, drawing the attention of the general public to the role of Aids to Maritime Navigation and the importance of IALA's technical work in improving the safety of navigation worldwide.

By 2022, the Bulgarian Port Infrastructure Company will host the main event which will take place at the International Congress Center, Foros Hall, in Burgas.

In parallel, IALA has extended an invitation to the whole world to share an image of an Aids to Navigation sign using the Hashtag #WATONDay2022 during this July 1, to raise awareness of this important safety issue.

For Iberoamerica, the host will be our member country CHILE, who will host a free Webinar, which will feature expert panelists in Maritime Signaling from the United States, Spain Argentina and Chile. The Webinar will be broadcasted by the Teams Platform, on July 1st at 15:00 hrs (GTM-3).
