SIGNATURE OF LETTER OF INTENTION BETWEEN VALENCIA PORT FOUNDATION AND RED MAMLa

Within the development of the Work Plan 2022 and in accordance with the objectives and strategic axes of our organization, the signing of the Letter of Intent between the Latin America Women in Maritime Association (Red MAMLa) and the Valencia Port Foundation took place.

The Letter of Intent signed by the Director of International Business Development of the Valencia Port Foundation, Miguel M. Garín Alemany, and the President of Red MAMLa, Mrs. Elvia Bustavino, aims to encourage and promote the visibility and participation of women in the various fields of action of the maritime industry, through collaborative work between the two organizations, with special emphasis on the Latin American Region.

Regarding this agreement, Miguel M. Garín Alemany pointed out that "...for the Valencia Port Foundation it is an honor and pride to have reached this agreement with Red MAMLa", adding that "...women in the maritime sector in Latin America have been a fundamental part of almost all the agreements that have been generated within the Foundation and over the years they have been gaining a deserved prominence".

For her part, Elvia Bustavino reaffirmed the organization's commitment to gender equity and expressed her gratitude for the constant support that Red MAMLa has received from different industry players.
