RED MAMLa: NEW PERMANENT WORKING COMMITTEES

In accordance with Red MAMLa's current Bylaws and with the purpose of allowing the visibility of women in the maritime community, on April 23rd, a proposal was made to create 3 Working Committees: the Social Affairs Committee, the Mentoring Committee and the Communications Committee.

The Social Affairs Committee will allow Red MAMLa to connect with the community and will have the responsibility to maintain a transparent and ethical organizational behavior that:

  • Contributes to sustainable development, including the health and well-being of society;
  • Takes into consideration the expectations of its stakeholders;
  • Complies with applicable legislation and international standards

The general objective of the Mentoring Committee will be to promote and offer strategic tools that will enable women to acquire management skills, political management, conflict resolution, teamwork, collective culture, creative thinking and its impact on the promotion and development of leadership as a tool for achieving gender equality, as well as promoting and convincing new generations of the relevance of the maritime sector and all related careers, mainly in the countries that are members of Red MAMLa.

The purpose of the Communications Committee will be to strengthen the visibility of our members by promoting the activities developed and creating media impact for the benefit of the good image obtained by the Network, through the management of Social Networks, development of content for publications, management of the agenda of events and activities, graphic design, press releases and the coordination of the official Website.

After the presentation and approval of these committees at the Assembly, their respective Directors were elected by general vote and assumed the leadership of these new committees.
