MARITIME SheEO LAUNCHES SECOND LEADERSHIP ACELERATOR PROGRAM OF 2022

A new version of the Leadership Accelerator Program (LEAP) of Maritime SheEO, has its starting point this September 15 where 30 new candidates will begin the course that covers four central themes: Growth Mindset, Strategic Acumen, Leadership and Personal Brand.

The main objectives of LEAP are: 

  • To provide knowledge and management skills to help move women in the maritime industry into leadership roles.
     
  • To enable women to become part of an active and trusted network of women executives who support and inspire each other throughout their leadership journey.

The development efforts of this Program result in promoting the participation of more women with the aim of equipping them with the right skills so they can rise to leadership positions, aspire to apply for board positions, and inspire others, becoming role models for new generations of maritime and port professionals.

Among the 30 women selected to attend this new version of LEAP are two MAMLas: Carla González, Associate Member from the Dominican Republic; and Carolina Pacheco, Permanent Representative from Chile.

The world needs more women leaders and this Program encourages them to acquire new knowledge and skills that promote their professional development and, at the same time, create new legacies of diversity in each of their own organizations.

To all of these women, and especially to Carla and Carolina, we at Red MAMLa extend our sincere congratulations and wish them the best of success in this new challenge. We are certain that they will continue to leave their trails in the sea.
