From November 17 to 19, the Network of Women Maritime Authorities of Latin America (Red MAMLa) will hold its VII General Assembly, in conjunction with the I Regional Workshop on Legislation and Policies with a Gender Perspective.

With Ecuador as the host country, and the support and leadership of the National Directorate of Aquatic Spaces (DIRNEA) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO), as well as the support of organizations such as WILD Aid, DP WORLD, Canada, and the State of South Korea, the meeting will bring together representatives from 19 states.

The aim of this event is to promote the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and strategies aimed at strengthening female leadership in the maritime industry from a gender equality perspective, while promoting the formulation and strengthening of policies and legislative frameworks that guarantee more just, inclusive, and sustainable environments.
