Day of the Seafarer 2026 | “Carrying global trade. Carrying the risks”
Under the theme “Carrying global trade. Carrying the risks,” the International Maritime Organization aims to highlight the essential role of seafarers in keeping international trade moving, often under complex and hazardous conditions.
The campaign invites governments, maritime organizations, companies, trade unions, international bodies, and the general public to recognize and value the work of seafarers, while promoting their safety, well-being, and mental health..
