During the Second “Stars of the Sea” Meeting, held at Universidad Metropolitana, WISTA Venezuela unanimously selected, by vote of its members, Maria Grazia Blanco, an Associate Member of Red MAMLa, as the winner of the 2026 Star of the Sea Award.

This recognition comes from the heart of a community that values her career, ethics, dedication, and the profound impact she has made on the Venezuelan and Latin American maritime sector.

After an emotional presentation of the award by Engineer Iliana Fernández, the honoree of the afternoon took the microphone to express the honor she felt in receiving this recognition, doing so with pride and deep gratitude.

She thanked WISTA Venezuela and the other participating associations for valuing and showcasing the work of those who believe in the transformative power of the maritime sector. She concluded by saying that women not only do business, but also help this industry produce more.
