RED MAMLa STARTS A PROGRAM OF INTERNAL TRAINING

Yesterday, August 31, Red MAMLa started the Internal Training Program, an activity that is framed under the premises stated in the Mission and Principles with which the Organization develops its work.

The Training Program will consist of 3 workshops to update and improve the technical knowledge of the members of the Association through the use of the virtual platforms available for the maritime-port area.

This first workshop, organized by the Committee on Maritime Technical Matters, began at 10:00 hrs. (UTC-3), through the Google Meets application and was attended by permanent and alternate representatives of Red MAMLa.

The purpose of the activity was to instruct the participants on the use of the "IMODOCS" platform, the Virtual Library that the International Maritime Organization provides as a free consultation tool.

The IMODOCS Virtual Library operates as a documentary database of all the IMO's documents, reports, Assembly Resolutions, Council Documents, Conference Documents, Circulars and Letters, which can be found translated in the 6 languages of the IMO: English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.

At the end of the activity, the participants were very satisfied with what they had learned, since the use of these technologies represents a useful working tool today.

The second Virtual Workshop is scheduled for October 21, in which the participants will be trained on the IMO's Global Integrated Maritime Information System - GISIS.
