RED MAMLa JOINS THE LIFE SEAL AWARD, A RECOGNITION OF COMPANIES PROMOTING FEMALE LEADERSHIP IN THE MARITIME INDUSTRY

In an event noted for its focus on gender equality and equity in the maritime, port and logistics sector, Red MAMLa participated in the presentation of the LIFE Seal Award, a distinction created to recognize companies that promote female leadership in these key industries for global economic growth.

The LIFE Seal aims to highlight the importance of gender equality and equity in the maritime industry, a key sector in the global supply chain. This recognition seeks to promote parity of rights in management positions and boards of directors, where women's participation brings a unique and valuable perspective to strategic analysis and decisions. Through this award, it highlights the challenge towards gender parity, which must be addressed through training, skills development and the promotion of leadership capabilities in women.

The event, which was held with great success in Panama, was attended by the Vice President of Red MAMLa, Valeria Rodríguez Burlada, Elvia Bustavino, honorary member of Red MAMLa and developer of the LIFE event, as well as the presence of MAMLas from Latin America, who have been instrumental in building support networks and visibility for women in the industry.

The LIFE Seal was created by Multimodal Consulting Firm and PR Ports, with the support of Red MAMLa and the Women's Organization of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), to recognize companies that have demonstrated a concrete commitment to the Women's Leadership Program for the Maritime Port Sector. This distinction seeks not only to give visibility to companies that promote women's leadership, but also to encourage others to follow suit and adopt inclusive policies that favor gender parity.
