RED MAMLa AND EMPRESA MULTIMODAL S.A.S: WE ARE STRATEGIC PARTNERS

In order to work for a sustainable maritime, port and logistics sector, the Latin America Women in Maritime Association  - Red MAMLa and Empresa Multimodal SAS - EMMSAS, signed a Mutual Cooperation Agreement.

This agreement is framed in the commitment of both entities towards social responsibility and gender equity in the development of their activities, emphasizing those related to the sustainable development of the maritime industry.

EMMSAS, is a Colombian company that since 2003, provides advisory services, development of studies and management support in technical, legal and financial aspects related to port logistics, transportation infrastructure, supply chain (SCM) and tourism projects, as well as in the formulation of public policies on maritime transport, ports and logistics and with a vision of supporting the fundamental role played by women to boost competitiveness in the maritime, port and logistics sectors.

Thus, this mutual support agreement seeks to foster the growth of human talent in the sector, through the promotion of training, mentoring, development of joint activities, support for conferences, events, writing, and active participation in the dissemination of projects.

In addition, through joint initiatives, issues of interest will be identified to carry out the following activities:

• COORGANIZED ACTIVITIES, for the respective members of both organizations. These activities will address current topics on Maritime, Port and Logistics development.
   
• SUPPORT IN CONFERENCES AND EVENTS, both in planning and contacting speakers, as well as promoting the activity in their respective databases and digital media.
   
• SUPPORT IN PROJECTS, both in joint and individual projects, through access to information and exchange of knowledge from research, guides related to the competencies of both organizations, and the development of projects on Maritime, Port and Logistics issues, among others.
   
• COLLABORATION IN TRAINING AND MENTORING, through the coordination of efforts to promote the training of the members of each organization in Maritime, Port and Logistics matters, as well as the support to Mentoring Programs aimed at the transfer of knowledge, capabilities, skills and experiences acquired in technical and gender issues.

The agreement was signed last April 8, by the representatives of Red MAMLa and EMMSAS, Elvia Bustavino and Carlos José González España, corroborating the commitment to cooperate in the implementation of the Strategic Axes of our association and in the promotion of gender equity in the maritime industry.
