As part of the development of the 2022 Work Plan and in accordance with the Strategic Objectives of the Association, last February 16, a meeting was held via videoconference with Ms. Sanjam Sahi Gupta, Director of Sitara Shipping and Founder of MaritimeSheEO.
On the occasion, our President Elvia Bustavino, presented the work done by Red MAMLa since its inception, inviting to strengthen ties of cooperation between the two organizations. She also thanked MaritimeSheEO for the opportunity that MaritimeSheEO offers our members to participate in the "Maritime Leadership Programme", which provides women in the maritime sector with guidance and inspiration to co-lead themselves and improve their leadership skills.
Among the most relevant topics discussed at the meeting were:
- The mutual interest of having a cooperation document between Red MAMLa and MaritimeSheEO as a support for future cooperation.
- The cooperation document would include topics related to the leadership and mentoring program, collaborative work on technical and gender issues, and the exchange of writings for publications in the media of each organization, among others.
- Confirmation of two (2) slots for participation in the MaritimeSheEO Program for Red MAMLa, where all members can apply.
The meeting ended with mutual expressions of gratitude for the support and positive reception of the proposals for current and future joint projects.
